We are located in downtown Montreal, in the heart of its cultural and business district. The gallery is on the 2nd floor, dominating the corner of Parc Avenue and Sherbrooke with its 35 windows. The building is almost a hundred years old, and is one of the rare buildings in Montreal to have retained its original entry hall design.

Building History

Built in the 1920s, the building that houses the Gora Gallery has a great story. From the 1920s to the early 1950s, it was occupied by Teller Motor Sales Ltd, a car dealership for Chrysler, Plymouth and Ford. Today, it welcomes contemporary art whereas previously, those floors were used as garages for cars. Originally, the car showroom was located on the ground floor where it will later be succeeded by a branch of the Royal Bank of Canada. The building is still owned by the third generation Teller family.
