INTERNSHIPS AT GALLERY GORA!
Gallery Gora welcomes interns and volunteers throughout the year, offering them the opportunity to work in a field of their choice, among which the following:
- Written press: Writing articles on the gallery’s current activities, cultural events connected to our artists, or Montreal’s arts scene.
- Video: Conducting interviews with the gallery’s artists or other artists, documenting events hosted by the gallery, and producing other videos of general interest.
- Communications/Public Relations: Promoting our artists to international galleries. Contacting potential clients who wish to organize events in order to inform them of the services we offer.
- Marketing: Developing strategies to promote the gallery and its events.
- Sales: Selling the gallery’s artwork throughout Canada and internationally.
- Research: Locating potential artists and customers.
- Exhibition Mounting: Participating in the set-up and take-down of exhibitions, and helping with other tasks which vary according to the gallery’s needs.
Interns, who come from diverse backgrounds, will have the unique opportunity
to be immersed in a contemporary art gallery’s daily life. In a friendly
and collaborative environment, they will have the chance to participate
in many of the gallery’s different activities. The staff is perfectly
bilingual – French and English – which is a definite advantage
for those who wish to improve their communication skills in both languages.
According to their home university’s regulations, the intern can
earn academic credit for this internship. We will deliver a certificate
or a letter of recommendation. However, no internship will be remunerated.
